It is time....

I have been following in Momstheword for quite a while and have been enjoying hers and other´s "Making your home sing Monday", but for some reason I never joined before, although I always wanted. Today is the day, it is time.. :)

So, a little question for ya´ll.

What is going on in a house when you mix this....
And this.....

Yep, you guess it!

It is potty training time, and it is well overdo.

With Noelia turning 3 and getting ready to start school in a month I couldn´t postpone it anymore. My car is in the shop anyway, so what better time that when you are stuck at home to do so?

No, I am not one of those mommies with great patience that start potty training when the kids are 1-2. I wait until their 3rd bday. I wait until I can buy them with Jelly Bellies. I wait until months worth if work only last a couple of weeks because they are older and way ready. My oldes one took 1 day! My second took 2! So, can you blame me for trying again :)

With three kids so close together I didn´t feel strong enough to do it any other way. I know there are many out there that agree with me :)!

Well, I better go. Potty training kids are an accident waiting to happen :)!!
I don´t know if my house is going to sing, but for sure my grocery budget is going to sing because it is going to have a little break :)

Hey, nothing wrong with waiting until it's quick and easy! Shoot, if teachers would take kids that weren't potty trained, I would have let peer pressure train my kids. It would have scarred them for life, but my job would have been a lot easier. : )

I have just recently potty trained my daughter and she got it in a few days as well! She is around 2 and a half, def think worth waiting so they understand more!

I've jumped the gun with both of my girls! I lack the patience to wait until they're older...looking back, I wish I had waited. Lot less frustration and accidents! Both times it was more like a journey than a day trip. Good luck!

I think waiting is better anyway!

Every child has their own time table on this and just about everything else. I hope you have great success this time around, too.

Hope this goes well. There is no better feeling that reducing the amount of diapers bought! When you are home, is the best time!

All of my kids were 3 too before they were potty trained. You are right! They are usually very ready by that time. She will do great!

I am so excited that you joined us today!!!! The only thing I would suggest is that you put a link to the meme so that your readers could click it, if they wish, and read what others have posted as well.

I remember potty training! We used m&ms and stickers. I made a chart and they put a sticker on the chart each time they went.

My friend let her kids put stickers on the toilet lid but I thought it made it look messy and to hard to clean.

It is always so nice to be done with diapers!! Woohoo! Thank you for joining us today, my friend.

Oh my gosh, I don't even remember how I potty trained my kids..it was so long ago!!!

Pilar, I'm right there with you. Charming and Buttercup trained in one day (Charming on his 3rd birthday and Buttercup one or two days before or after)...Valiant did it at 2.5 because he wanted to stay with his preschool teacher and she had serious back problems. Yes, I waited later, but we never had accidents, missing the potty, nothing. They were potty-trained and that was it. So, I hope by the time you read this, you're done with Noelia, a few jelly beans poorer, but well worth the expense!

My daughter was trained by two and a half, but then my son was stubborn and wasn't totally trained until almost five. Good Luck!!!

I think three is a good age for potty training. You're on to something with it happening so much faster that way. And yay for no more diapers! Isn't it crazy how much we spend on something we eventually throw away? :)

I feel for you potty training, I still have nightmares about those days

I didnt start with mine till bout 2 1/2,because with the twins I had one that was going to be here about a week after the twins turned 3,so by the time she was born they was ready, so with her I started bout the same time .I agree 100% the older the faster !!!

Well, bravo to you. M was 3 and J was 3, with J we are still working on the training, when we are busy, we tend to have a few more accidents. Boys are definitely harder in my opinion. Ty seems ready, so I might actually start earlier. The pull-ups never really worked for us, we had to go straight to underwear and I had to do laundry every day. Well, I hope your little one decides (with incentive 8P )to cooperate.
