A weight reason

I have been gone for a long while. Many things have happened since the last time I wrote. But we are not talking about it right now.

I was browsing through some of my favorite's blogs and found that many have been talking about weight loss... I think I found the pounds they have lost..... so if you want your pounds back let me know.... because I don't want them.

I have been wanting to lose some weight for a while now, but I must admit I don't know where to start.

I know I have to exercise, but I need to find that will power.

I know I have to make healthy choices about the foods I eat, but every time I see a list of things not to eat and what to eat, I realize I have no clue.

I need some help. Where did you start?

It's good to see you back, Pilar! I started losing weight because my son got engaged and I wanted to look good for the wedding pictures. That might not help you since you've got a long time to go before yours get married! : )

It's been too long! Ok, where do you start...just put one foot in front of the other :) I have never like aerobics, etc, but I'm a fan of walking. Biking is great, too. I will look forward to reading more of what you've been up to!! I hope you all are well.

Welcome back to blogland! Any time I've lost some weight it's been when I cut back on carbs. Bread is my weakness, though. :(

Okay, my computer is doing strange things so if you get this twice I apologize. I had gestational diabetes while pregnant with Alissa and I was losing weight. The key is balance your carbs and proteins. I was allowed 45 carbs at a meal and 2-3 servings of protein (a serving is 7grams). Also eat six smaller meals instead of three that are a bit bigger. Even if it is peanut butter crackers. It doesn't give your blood sugar a chance to get too high. I admit I have not been following but I find when I do the pounds go.

Hey friend! I'm so glad to see you back at blogging!!!! But I am sorry that you're having to face the scale. That's never fun! I say find a program that will help you keep track of what you're eating. There are some great free ones like Fitness Pal & Spark People. It's not necessarily about giving up everything you love. It's about finding a balance. And a good tracking program will help you find that. Then work in exercise that you find tolerable. Once you start doing some exercise, you will want to do more. I know that sounds strange...but just trust me on this one. Little changes my friend! You can't change everything overnight. If you try, you will overwhelm yourself. Do what you can one step at a time one day at a time. You'll get there. Just give it time.

Blessings to you my friend! So glad you linked up with WLWed!!!
