How do you know.....

How do you know when you move too much?

In the last two years since we came to Spain we have moved twice. Before then, we spent almost a couple of years travelling all over the States for deputation, so I guess it is normal when my girls wonder how long we are going to stay here.

Our plans are to stay here in the south, and I thought we have made it clear to them, but I guess they don’t have it as clear, and they figure it is about time for us to move again.

Our oldest especially came today home from school and wanted to know if we were going to be here when she is in 2nd grade (she is in 1st now). She was talking to her friends and telling them that last year she was only in her school for one year. She told us her friends were panicking and asking to please not to leave… it was too funny.

I realize this affects them more than I thought. She was not just thinking about it, she was telling her friends about it. Summer is coming and is time to move? …. Don´t think so…. I am so done J

Oh, I can so identify with moving! I am thankful that it has made my kids pretty adaptable!

I appreciate your move to Spain but I do not want to move anymore either.

Awww!! How cute..her friends were all worried!

I guess it's true when they say that kids get affected w/ too many changes..lol. Well, it's not funny, but you know what I mean...

I am surprised at how much kids pay attention to things like this. It makes me wonder sometimes, what is going on in their little heads! :)

I totally relate with the moving thing.

Poor girls they think they are going to have to start all over again.

I think God has you in the perfect place for you all!

Hey Pilar, sorry it has been awhile since I posted. Things have been kinda busy around here. I am glad I haven't missed too much. I feel ya on the excercising, my youngest is 18 months old now,R said he was no longer a good excuse ;( So I have been trying to get the motivation to lose the extra weight. I am with you, it is easier for me when someone else is holding me accountable. As far as the moving, I just figured it and Since Mercy was born in Feb 04 we have lived in 8 houses/apartments. So that means we have moved 8 times in 5 years. WOW, and just think, we are considering doing it again. Thankfully we have only moved across state lines once. I am really enjoying the photos, Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful day !!

I was reading a blog of another PW and she was talking about how ministry families move alot. But we haven't and I can't imagine that we would. Hope not anyway!

Kids are usually pretty resilent when it comes to this sort of thing fortunately though (in case you do move).

But I don't blame you. It's nice to be settled!

You are so right. Pictures and memories of time with family and friends are priceless!

Oh that is too funny! But I know exactly what you mean. We moved a lot in our early years of marriage. We have lived in our current home for 6.5 years. That is the longest we have lived anywhere and I am getting a little itchy to move again. Sad, I know!

LOL, Jordan and I moved quite a bit when we were first married...we decided that we will NOT move again until we leave this town permanently!

Ha! Ha!
I can so, so, so relate. We have moved two times in the past two years, after deputation (during which we had no house, and all our things in storage) and are here to stay... though we are still praying about our housing situation.
Kids are so cute, and I think they adjust better than we do... don't you think?
